Assess your hormone levels easily at home!

Our Salivary Hormone Test evaluates your body's levels of bio-available Progesterone, Estradiol, Estriol, Testosterone, DHEA and Cortisol. This convenient at-home testing kit uses a saliva sample to provide an individualized hormone assessment to help identify and alleviate the underlying causes of many imbalance-related issues.

Saliva is considered more appropriate than blood testing for establishing accurate hormone level baselines and determining changes in hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Consider this test if you are experiencing:

  • Menopausal symptoms (i.e. hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness)
  • Severe PMS or PCOS symptoms
  • Changes in mood or energy levels
  • Brain fog
  • Thinning hair
  • Decreased fertility or difficulty with conception
  • Difficulty losing weight
  • Loss in muscle tone
  • Changes in libido (for men and women)
  • Difficulty sleeping

With a complete hormone panel you will discover:

  • Your Ratio of Progesterone to Estradiol - important in determining estrogen dominance
  • Progesterone Levels - important for menstrual cycles and pregnancy, low levels can result in premature aging, bone loss, hot flashes and weight gain.
  • Estradiol levels - important for all female reproductive functions, high amounts can result in PMS, mood swings, memory fog and anxiety.
  • Estriol levels - important for vaginal tissue health, dryness and fertility.
  • Testosterone levels - important for healthy libido, energy levels and forming lean muscles.
  • DHEA levels - significant in memory function of postmenopausal women, and fertility in younger women.
  • A.M. Cortisol levels - important as a stress indicator, offers a glimpse of your adrenal glands' ability to respond to stress.

A letter with personal recommendations from Ann Louise Gittleman, PhD, CNS, acclaimed author of the New York Times Bestseller 'Before the Change: Taking Charge of Your Perimenopause' is included with your test results.

Salivary Hormone FAQs

Q: Does my sample need to be collected at exactly 8 a.m.?
: No, it can be collected between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.

Q: Should I stop taking Adrenal Formula 3-5 days before collection?
A: Yes.

Q: Should I stop using ProgestaKey 3-5 days before collection?
A: Yes.

Q: I'm taking an antidepressant or anti-anxiety medication. Should I stop for 3-5 days prior to collection?
A: No, please continue your medications as prescribed. If you can, collect your morning sample before taking your daily dose of medication.

Q: What if I can't produce enough saliva?
A: You may smell a lemon wedge, vinegar, pickle juice, or your favorite food, or even chew dental grade paraffin wax.

Q: What day should I collect my samples?
A: On your typical day. Adrenal hormones fluctuate from moment to moment based on emotional and physiological stress, so to get an accurate measurement of your daily life, do not perform the test on a particularly stressful or significantly relaxing day. Samples need to reach the laboratory within 8 days of collection, and they may be refrigerated for up to 3 days after collection if necessary. Try to plan your shipment so the samples arrive to the laboratory on a week day without sitting in transit over the weekend.

Q: I messed up my samples. Can I get another kit?
A: Yes, for the cost of shipping and handling.

Q: I misplaced my paperwork. Can I get another copy?
A: Yes, please email to make arrangements.
