Recipe: Kale Chips
- 1 bundle of kale
- Olive oil
- Desired seasonings
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Rinse and dry the kale leaves.
- Remove the stems and rip into large pieces.
- Toss with olive oil and any seasonings; spread on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes, or until crispy.
I like to take the baking sheet out of the oven and give the leaves a toss after about 5 minutes. This makes for more even cooking and crispiness.
The flavor of the leaves is versatile so it’s really fun to experiment with different spices and seasonings. Give it a try! I like to add a pinch of salt, garlic powder, and cayenne for a kick. Or for a different, more bright, flavor I like to sprinkle a teeny bit of salt, then squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the top.
